Trustee Sandland was first elected in November 1992 then re-elected in 2000, 2004 and 2008, and 2012.  She is a registered nurse and a member of the Gillibrand family, a pioneer family that settled in Simi Valley in 1888. She serves as a Board representative on the City of Simi Valley Crime Prevention Taskforce; is the Board representative on the City of Simi Valley Arroyo Simi Ad Hoc Committee and is the Board representative on the Arroyo Ad Hoc Committee (along with Trustee Davis).
