Trustee Davis was first elected in November 2006 then re-elected for a second four-year term that expires in November 2014.  She served 38 years in the SVUSD as a teacher of regular education, special education, adult education, and GATE. She also served as a vice principal in middle school and as an elementary principal. In 2005-2006 she taught classes at Cal Lutheran University and supervised student teachers. This year marks her 45th year in education. Trustee Davis is the Board representative on the City of Simi Valley Tree Advisory Board;  is a member of the Simi Valley/SVUSD Liaison Commitee (along with Trustee Collins); is a member of the City of Simi Valley Ad Hoc Committee (along with Trustee Sandland) and, is the Board representative on the City of Simi Valley Task Force on Homelessness.
